Diplomas and certificates are available eight to twelve weeks after you graduate. Unclaimed diplomas and certificates may be destroyed after five years. You can pick up your diploma or certificate in person, or we can mail it to you.
If your diploma is lost or damaged, or if you changed your name and need to order a diploma in your new name, please refer to the diploma reissue process.
Parnassus: Please bring a picture ID to MU-200W.
Mission Bay: Please call us at (415) 476-4356 at least one week before your desired pickup date.
3rd Party Pickup
To authorize release of your diploma to a third party please complete the steps detailed on this form.
The mailing fee is $20; however, we will mail diplomas at no charge for School of Nursing students (MEPN, MS, Nursing PhD, and Sociology PhD) who graduated between spring 2006 and the present and School of Pharmacy students who graduated between fall 2006 and fall 2012. Please use our Diploma Mailing Form. Alternatively, you may send us a written request to mail your diploma or certificate.
We ship diplomas destined to U.S. addresses by U.S. Postal Service First-Class Mail. A signature will be required upon delivery.
If we mail your diploma and it is returned as undeliverable, the fee to mail it again will be $25.
Please include the following information:
- Your name when you graduated from UCSF and, if different, your current name
- Program or school attended
- Date of graduation
- Address to send diploma or certificate (a signature is required upon delivery)
- Your signature
Please sign your request and enclose a check, money order, or cashier's check payable to UC Regents for the total fee or provide your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express information on the Diploma Mailing Form. If you are paying by credit card and do not use the Diploma Mailing Form, please provide your card number, the expiration date, and the three-digit code from the signature block on the back of the card. For credit card orders only, you may fax your request to (415) 476-9690. We cannot accept credit card information by e-mail.
