Pre-Entrance Health Requirements

Graduate students new to UCSF are required to complete immunization and tuberculosis (TB) screening in accordance with the UC Immunization Policy.

Professional students must meet additional requirements to prepare for clinical settings. These include immunizations, TB testing, completion of an N95 Respirator Questionnaire, and Magnetic Resonance (MR) screening. Because professional students have patient care responsibilities, their immunization requirements are more extensive than those outlined in the UC Immunization Policy. Please refer to the Professional Student Immunization Requirements for detailed information.

Approximately 90 days prior to the start of your program, you will receive an email from Student Mental Health and Wellbeing. This email will direct you to a secure message in your MyHealthRecord account, where you will find your pre-entrance health requirements and instructions for submitting documentation.

All submitted information is kept confidential and maintained as part of your health record.

Please note: Some requirements may involve scheduling an appointment with your healthcare provider. We encourage you to begin early to avoid last-minute delays.
