Housing Services
Housing Services offers on-campus housing and related services to UCSF students, post-docs, residents, clinical fellows, faculty, and staff. Students have priority for campus housing.
Living on campus is often the best option for students, especially when moving to the Bay Area. In addition to convenience, on-campus housing advantages include:

Apply as soon as possible external site (opens in a new window) - space is limited. You can also apply to Academe 198 external site (opens in a new window) , UCSF’s newest housing community, operated by UC Law SF.
UCSF campus housing properties external site (opens in a new window) for students are located at or near the Mission Bay and Parnassus campuses. All locations are easily accessible by the free UCSF Shuttle system.
Provided they are enrolled in a UCSF degree program, students may live in campus housing for up to 5 years. Students enrolled in the MSTP program may live in campus housing for up to 9 years. Academe at 198, a campus housing community managed by UC College of the Law SF, has no term limits.
Housing Services has a rolling application process and makes housing offers throughout the year. For peak July/August/September move-in, Housing Services begins assigning and making housing offers in early April. Please be sure your housing application, along with supporting documentation, is completed by the end of March for priority consideration. Although you may apply at any time throughout the year, you will have the maximum number of chances to get your first choice of housing if you apply by the priority deadline.
