UCGPC Systemwide Fee
The UCGPC Systemwide Fee funds the UC Graduate and Professional Council. The fee will be assessed to students automatically, but students can opt out.
Opting Out
Students can visit the Finances / Fees section in the student portal to opt out of the fee. The deadline is two weeks prior to the start of instruction listed on the campus academic calendar. Elections to opt out that are made after the deadline will take effect when fees are assessed for the following term.
Opting In
Students can visit the Finances / Fees section in the student portal to opt in to pay the fee. The election will take effect immediately for the latest term for which fees have been assessed. Fee calculations will update overnight.
Effect of an Election
An election to opt out or in will remain in effect unless and until the student changes it.
Refunds
The deadline to opt out for a particular quarter is two weeks prior to the first day of instruction. Students who cancel their registration, withdraw, or take a leave of absence after the third week of instruction must contact UCGPC to request a possible refund.
Registration in Absentia
Students who register in absentia are not assessed the UCGPC Systemwide Fee.
