Special Rules for Summer Fees
  • Nonresident supplemental tuition is not charged in summer session.
  • Summer session fees are set annually and may differ from the regular quarter fees.
  • Continuing students who have been enrolled continuously in the previous academic year will be covered for student health and the Campus Community Centers Facility fee.
  • Readmitted students, Joint Program (UCSF-UCB) students, and students who used Filing Fee status in spring 2017 will be charged additional fees for student health service and insurance if they register for summer session, but they will not be charged the Campus Community Centers Facility fee. To use the fitness and recreation centers in summer, these students should pay a fee to the centers directly.
  • The academic year for fourth-year pharmacy students begins in summer term of their fourth year. In summer, fourth-year pharmacy students are charged Professional Degree Supplemental Tuition, Graduate and Professional Student Associations, Associated Students of School of Pharmacy, and the student health fees. Fourth-year pharmacy students who register in fall and winter, who do not graduate in winter, and who continue their registration in the following spring quarter will not be charged Professional Degree Supplemental Tuition, Graduate and Professional Student Associations, Associated Students of School of Pharmacy, and the student health fees in summer.
  • Readmitted students in Medicine, MSTP students returning to Medicine program, MDMPH, & Joint Medicine Program (UCSF-UCB) registering at UCSF are charged prorated disability insurance.
