While MS-HAIL registration processes generally follow registration processes for other UCSF students, some important differences exist.
MS-HAIL fees are based on the number of courses in which students enroll. Students may add and drop courses until the deadline provided on the student portal "Study List" tab for enrolling in at least one course. Approximately one day after this deadline, fees will be assessed and displayed in the student portal. Students may not add courses after this deadline, and fees will not be adjusted if students drop courses after this deadline.
Fee Payment Deadline
The payment deadline for MS-HAIL students normally is earlier than the payment deadline for other students. Please check the student portal for your payment deadline.
Study List Filing
MS-HAIL students must enroll in at least one course by the deadline shown on the student portal "Study List" tab. However, MS-HAIL students may not add courses after this deadline. MS-HAIL students can drop courses during the study list change period or by the deadline for Study List Change Petitions, but fees will not be adjusted if students drop courses after the deadline for enrolling in at least one course.
