Part-time Enrollment

At UCSF, all certificate and degree programs are full time.

The dean of the Graduate Division or a designated representative may approve part-time enrollment for graduate academic students, with the accompanying fee reductions, only for reasons of occupation, family responsibilities, or health.

To initiate reduction in fees for Tuition and Nonresident Supplemental Tuition, an approved application for part-time enrollment must be filed with the Office of the Registrar by the published deadline and before paying fees. The maximum number of units is six per quarter.

The application for Part-Time enrollment is valid only for one quarter at a time.
